Oprah Winfrey will end her show after its 25th season wraps on September 9, 2011.

She made the announcement on her show today:
"I love this show, this show has been my life, and I love it enough to know when it's time to say goodbye. Twenty-five years feels right in my bones and it feels right in my spirit. It's the perfect number. It's the exact right time."

Winfrey will host a new daily talk show on OWN, her new cable network, and will also host specials for the network.

Oprah's show hasn't been that great for years. There was a stretch in the early 90's going into the early 00's when she had really riveting pieces. Now she more about celebrity entertainment and give aways to be taken too seriously. I think she has let her show think that she is bigger than what she is. She has become the modern day Queen in which everything requires the approval of before we can partake in it. If Oprah says something is good, well it must be cause Oprah said so. That being said I still have respect for her and wish her well. She still has other avenues that I'm sure she will pursue like her magazines and Harpo studios so I'm sure we will be hearing from Oprah for a long time.

I enjoy watching Oprahs' show, but I feel that Oprah is full of sh--. She paints a beautiful picture but I don't think she's the truth. There are sooo many issues within her race that she doesn't touch like how we are losing our babies to the streets whether it be incarceration or killed and she just doesn't really go there and I feel that when you are given such power it's your obligation to address certain things and is she promoting pornography or what?? That's what it sounded like to me. I think Oprah's getting a little desperate. I have to give my props to Michael Baisden and MIchael Moore at least they are about truth and not the b.s.

I'll get slammed for this but I'm glad. I'm proud of her accomplishments as a woman of color in this country. But other than that, her show wasn't for those making less than $40,000. I bet there are some lemmings now that have bankrupted themselves trying to live up to ther standards. Proud of her, but as WC2c said, time to move on. Oprah just isn't my cup of tea.

My Girl! I'm gonna miss seeing her at 4:00pm and so are many others. She did her job and she's not done! Her critic's are jealous, why would they not like her? Because she has changed people's lives? Because she has a giving heart? Because they don't have her money or her power?
She is an example of what a black woman is and can be, a Queen!!
I hope that she will reach out more to our people to wake them up, I know she will because that's her, it's in her heart, my Aquariun sister who I don't have nothing but love for, I can't wait to see what she does next.

Oprah put her money to use for something much greater than spending it for her own enjoyment. There's nothing wrong on spending your earn money for yourself, but I believe it's better to give or donate to people who deserve it and not flaunt your earning into the public or your fans. Hopefully, I can get tickets to her show for a couple of my family members before she's ends it.

I dont watch Oprah, but as an African american man I am grateful to see the good that she has done for all Americans and people of the world,I know the haters will say she is rich but she puts her charity money where her mouth is unlike millionaire rappers who buy Bentleys and Mike tyson mansions
