homeless

i understand what it is like to be broke down and out..i also understand how easy it is to become homeless,fortunately we have been able to pull ourselves above water.what i don't understand are peoples priorities ? our cell phones and internet that important ? people aree blogging that they are homeless?????????????

I have a sister who has a boyfriend who refuse to get a place to live, he asked my sister "can he take their 3-day old baby to a shelter so he can get a place to live", she asked him "why does he need the baby?" he says because if he don't have any children with him they'll put him in a single persons shelter and he does not want to go there because they steal. He also told her "she should be mindful of him because he has no one she has her family she can go stay with". Needless to say she told him "he must be crazy if he thinks she's sending her baby to a shelter if that was the case she would go into one herself". This man/boy has a car, wears $800 coats has a $400 cell phone and stay dressed from head to toe, while he sleeps on his cousins couch. But he refuse to get a place to pay rent, what a backwards people I say. Not all homeless people are able to afford things and people like my sisters man make it hard for those people because he's a user who can do for himself.

Comment by Nubian Queen on November 5, 2009 at 12:29am: Well...really if u r trying to get a job...then u want to have a cell phone...if u do not have a permanent address to live at ...so u can get those calls for the job I guess...and hopefully these people are checking their emails daily or going to the library to use these computers...my only concern is I hope they are not spending 8 hours on this website as opposed to performing a job search. U never know what the next man is going thru so maybe it is just a desperate cry for help. We gotta pray yall! I know what it is like to struggle. God bless!
