A wise force to be reckoned with, Black Page is a premier Dallas artist known best for her strong and soulful performances that stimulate the intellect and move the spirit. Her eclectic style mixes equal parts spoken word, soul, and hip.hop in a recipe that keeps audiences packed to see this phenomenal presence. She has involved herself in the entertainment industry since 1999 working inside some of the most noted record labels, collaborating with and opening for a distinguished roster of artist like KRS- 1, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, N’dambi, Jill Scott, Professor Griff (Public Enemy), Erykah Badu, Oleta Adams, Tramain Hawkins, Bavu Blakes, Mecca Starr, and Roger Bonair Agard (1999 National Poetry Slam Champion) just to name a few, with more phenomenal show dates lined up. Features in the Dallas Morning News, Rolling Out Magazine, the Deep Ellum Arts Festival, SBC Black History Celebration, Tampax Total You Tour, the Dallas Black Expo, Ebony Black Family Reunion Tour, 97.9 the BEAT (Dallas Radio One Station/ Hosted by Rickey Smiley), POWER 99 Inner City (Philadelphia Radio One Station/ Hosted by Tiffany Bacon), KNON 89.3 (Dallas), and SOUL 73 KKDA AM (Dallas), and numerous features at the world renowned Black Academy of Arts & Letters (TBAAL- DALLAS) add to her growing credentials too. She has performed, competed and won numerous poetry slams across the country and is preparing for a run at the 2010 Poetry Slam competition. To date she has released 3 independent CD works, "my lil' black book" / "tha orator" / & “tha Black.WHOLE” all of which showcase her tremendous talent. In an effort to continue giving back to the community she works hand and hand with several non-profit organizations South Dallas Cultural Center, Our Brothers Keeper, NDUGU Inc. and TeCo to name a few. Author of two published poems Hurting Love - International Library of Poetry/ Natures Echoes 2000 and To Become Unconscious - Def Poetry Jam Anthology/ Bum Rush the Page 2001 stand to further show the seriousness of this artist. So, she crossed the line by coming on to one of them, and trying to destroy their relationship and careers. Did she succeed? Did Yolanda want Michael for herself or did she want Patricia? See how their friendship affected and infected the whole family with lies, greed, promiscuity, lust, greed, sexuality and even suicide…even future generations!
