With so many black athletes turning to white women, does that have a negative perception of how black men feel toward black women?

I being a black woman must say that I feel that the ignorance of our black men who choose to be with white women and white women only is ignorant and ludacrist. I fortunately am married to a black male that loves black women and always has. He feels that white women are too aggressive and easy, but as I look at different blogs regarding the Tiger Woods saga, I feel that the fact that a lot of our professional men and athletes that are ignorant to the history of white women (because if they knew… Continue

UNDERCOVER RACISM IN AMERICA

I MUST SAY, I AM A 36 YEAR OLD, BLACK FEMALE THAT WORKS AS A COURT REPORTER. MY JOB HAS GIVEN ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO VIEW THINGS IN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT MANNER THAN MOST PEOPLE. I AM DEALING WITH THE MOST PROMINENT, WELL SOCIETY'S MOST PROMINENT LIKE; JUDGES, LAWYERS, DOCTORS, ETC.... TO THE SO-CALLED SCUM OF THE EARTH; DRUG DEALERS, MURDERS, PEDOFILES ETC.... AND I MUST SAY THIS, I HAVE COME TO THE UNDERSTANDING THAT I REALLY DON'T FEEL LIKE WHITES REALLY, I MEAN REALLY, REALLY LIKE BLACK PEOPLE.… Continue

Why does everyone act like racism doesn't exist?

I must say, that I am so appalled that so many people are surprised when small children get kicked out of a pool because of the color of their skin or when a Harvard scholar is arrested for going into his own home. Maybe because I am a court reporter I'm never surprised at such things, because I see it all. I mean all. I see the degredation of the black man, Just like Chris Rock said, wherever he goes he looks for racism because it's there and believe me it is.

As a court reporter, I am never s… Continue

Black men and white women

I would like to know why is it always this hooplah about black men wanting white wome. I have a ton of men in my family and they all love black women but it seems to me that the white women come after them, but no one talks about that. They will do anything, I mean anything to get these men even my 13 year old son comes home and tells me how these young, white girls just wants what's in his pants and how they perform oral on all the black boys. Why isn't this talked about. I think we need to rea… Continue

Is Justice Still Alive

To Whom It May Concern:

How can we tell others to take a stand, if we don’t take a stand? I want to stand for those who can’t stand and be a voice even though I feel voiceless. Yes, I am an African American Male, and my race is not linked or connected. When are African American Black males ever going to get a fair shot? Are we alone when injustice happens? And are we just talk when we say be black and be proud? When one African American has the guts to stand up, the rest of us just stands down. I stood up to my employer and fought for my rights. I made complaints to the proper organizations, I had evidence, I was honest, yet the organizations that are supposed to help protect my rights assisted in taking them away. And why not, I’m just one African American Male who just happened to step out of his place. Yes, organizations like EEOC, DOL, HHS, and the ESC. Why would your employer do that? This is the question that I have been asked over and over again by these organizations. But hey, I’m just an African American with no support. Tell him anything, he’ll go away, he has no help anyway.

I have a story to tell and so do countless others. I’m tired of lying down. It’s time for African American males to stand up and fight for our families, our freedom, civil rights and for the first time ourselves. This year I took a stand and voted for change but it seems to be more of the same for me. My family has fought through hurricane Katrina, and now a discriminatory job loss. Discrimination is so common for us African Americans, especially the males. Society asks us to act as if it no longer exist (playing the race card).

My family and I are putting out a national call for help to anyone who would call themselves a leader or advocate of justice in the African American community. When are we going to start sticking together and helping each other? I listen to, and look up to Rev. Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Jesse Jackson Jr., Steve Harvey, Michael Baisden, Eric Dyson, Warren Ballentine and others. I see all of you as modern leaders for African Americans but when I, an African American, reach out for help or assistance from the leaders of my ethnic group, I find that I am possibly alone in my fight for justice. I am proud of where my family and I have come and will continue to fight regardless of the difficulty and pressure that we face.

Personally I know that we don’t owe each other anything but our culture is the only culture that can watch each other suffer. Then not reach out to lend a hand and in the same breath criticize to make ourselves feel that it doesn’t concern us. I love my people but I wish this attitude would just stop. May be I’m just dreaming to even suggest such a thing.

To the point, my employer has openly discriminated on me. I have ample evidence to back this up to include recordings, documents, and other evidence. Every governmental organization has given me difficulty. Will someone at least make an attempt to help my family and I. We are just asking that someone take a chance and at least look at our case and all we have done. We just want a fair shake at justice. Help prove to me and others that the statistic of Black people not sticking together isn’t true and that together we do have a voice. I hope that this call for justice makes a difference. If you feel that you can’t help please send this to someone who can. Thank you

Sincerely,
The Thompson Family

Tiya, I appreciate your comment, however when do the excuses stop for our actions as a race?? I see the connection you're trying to make but Willie Lynch was about keeping slaves in line. What's going on now is the distruction of the black race. No one is telling us to go rob, kill, steal and sell drugs to one another, we are doing it all on our own. I'm all for a hustle, however a honest hustle is an sucessful one. Sow the seed, reap the harvest.

Good things come to the ones who wait, but only the things that were left behind of those who hustle. !!Sweat is the cologne of success!!

Question: Are you willing to sacrafice who you are for who you could become?

First and foremost, allow me to take this time and tell you a little about myself. My name is Luther Freeman. I am a graduate of The University of Central Florida with a degree in Health Service Administration and a minor in Health Sciences,. I am a Certified Personal Trainer as well. I dibble and dab into modeling and acting whenever I can but for the most part, all of my attention is geared directly towards my personal training business. I have my own Fitness Training Facility "Park Avenue" in Metrowest Orlando right next to Trotters Sports bar and grill. The address is 6401 Times Square Ave Orlando, FL 32835.

My company is entitled "Bodysculpting." I have partnered up with a well known celebrity promoter. His job is to pay celebrity moviestars to come to conventions worldwide, charging fans around the world to meet the stars for one weekend each month. I have done such a great job in training him, he has asked me to travel with him on tour for each convention to train the celebrities and fans. So you can call me a celebrity trainer if you will, but to me, I value everyone! I have trained "Lou Ferrigno" The character who played the original incredible hulk. "Jim Beaver" and "Misha Collins" from supernatural, "Robert Englund" who played Freddy Kruger, "Peter Facinelli" from Twilight. I was featured on the movie "Never Back Down" as a MMA fighter and while on set, I trained with "Dijhmond Honsu" (From Amistad and Blood Diamond) "Sean Faris" (From One Tree Hill) and "Cam Gigandet" (From Twilight) "Kyle Massey" (From That's so Raven) "Busta Rhymes" (Rap Artist) are a couple other notables I have worked out. SEE FOR YOURSELF: GO TO www.eyeconfla.com

(You will not have to pay to use facility, you will solely pay for training sessions) Depending on how many days a week and what you are trying to accomplish will factor in price, but, I could more than likely offer you a special rate right now because I do know that our economy has taken a hit and I see that you look like you have an interest in taking care of your body. (I do group specials as well) I do believe that I can be added value to you ultimately having the best body your genetics will allow. I guarantee you will see results within 3 weeks. Infact, I will put in writing, if you are sincerely not happy with your results after the first month, I will return your payment, no questions asked!!!!

You have received this message because you have been selected by my assistant as one who meets the qualifications of receiving my services. Take this message as a compliment because I only target those who look as if they take an interest in their body as well as their appearance!!If you are interested, on know of anyone who may be interested in my services, what I can do is bring the individual in for a consultation at no charge, take measurements, weight, body fat, and offer a complimentary session. If there is an interest in continuing to come to my facility to train, we will then set up a schedule that meets both of our means to get started, if not, the individual can take all they have learned in our complimentary session with with them to do on their own. (At least, person will be doing quality exercises in which I can promise will produce results instantly and very rapidly) Lastly, you can take a look at my girlfriend's modeling profile (Tatyanna Lance) , I train her as well. She is a mother of 1 child (Between me and you, she'll be 38 November 30, but she put 25 so that she would get more modeling work lol.) Her link is www.modelmayhem.com/1329628 I look forward to working with you,

Sincerely,
Luther Freeman - Certified Personal Trainer (703) 731-8921

As I stated earlier, you are entitled to your own individual beliefs, opinions, and etc. I personally believe that in love race doesn't, and should not matter. As long as you are with some one who compliments your strengths, fills in your weak points, loves, cares for, and in a nut shell "holds you down", then the color of your skin should not be an issue, or a concern raised. As far as black women's attitudes, I have met women of all races who are non approachable for what ever reasons, and I have met women who are very approachable. I am not gonna exploit the black women have bad attitudes stereotype, some do, and some don't, and that goes for women of all races. I am married to a beautiful black woman, who takes very good care of me, is sexy, a great cook, and about to embark in a career in Nursing (insh), so I wouldn't trade her in for any other, but had she been Russian, Haitian, Korean, or Lebanese, I would love her the same way, and still would have married her, later for the nay sayers. I honestly feel that focusing on an issue as such, especially in the time in history that we are currently living in is very trivial. We are a global community, and as I believe god's children, and if you are a believer of god, and I don't care what religion because essentially your prayers are to the divine creator, why do you focus on race, is that something that the divine creator would embrace, or frown down upon. Tiya, honestly, I think that you should step outside of your circle, and meet people of other races, cultures, ethnicities, and religions, open up your mind, and embrace life, and true humanity. Race is a non issue, of course we are naturally going to be attracted to people who share cultural similarities with us, but in my opinion that should not be the defining factor regarding who we choose to love, date, and establish friendships with, etc. I don't want you to think of me as naive, and not aware of the struggles, and inequities directed towards African Americans in the past, I am very well aware of the many injustices done to us, I never forget where I came from, and what I have, or we as a people have endured. At the same time I refuse to go about holding a grudge against Caucasians, or anyone else for that matter who had nothing to do with it. Just my take on the subject, take what you want out of it, I just hope you find the right man for you, who will hold you down, no matter the color of his skin.
